Okay story time:

So I just graduated from university in May & got offered a job as a Certified Athletic Trainer at a high school. I thought it was what I wanted - until I saw the pay. They expected a lot of hours for little pay & no benefits. I told myself, you not only deserve better, but you literally can't live off of this. I thought to myself, what am I going to do? This has always been the plan.

My sister actually encouraged me to start my own business, but it wasn't something I really considered until the moment I saw that small number of income offered to me. I stopped & really thought about what I pictured my day-to-day being. And it quickly became clear to me that I wanted each day to be filled with creating workouts, meal plans & spending time with people who truly want to better their health. So I decided to do it. 

Around the same time, I needed a new iPhone case. I know I know you're thinking that's off topic. Nope. I picked a Nike case that was cute & colorful that of course says "Just Do It." Funny enough, it shipped the same day I decided to launch Bodies by H. Ever since that day, I've used this stupid phone case as motivation. My phone goes everywhere with me, which means so does this mindset of: you can do, you are doing, and you will do better.

End of story time :)

On a serious note - your motivation is something that you drive. Mental strength is the most important thing to strengthen. Because if you are strong mentally, you are guaranteed to be strong physically & emotionally.

Think about it - your health means fitness goals as well as nutrition challenges. Yes, I know, things are tempting - but is that temptation stronger than you? If you have any ounce of competitiveness in yourself (which I know you do because everyone does!), bring it out & use it as your number 1 tool. Compete against yourself. Do NOT compete against the girl sitting next to you, or the women in the magazines. Let them be them. They have their own issues. It may not be weight loss or health, but it's guaranteed something else. You CAN do it, you just have to tell yourself & BELIEVE yourself when you say that you can & you will.

There are so many resources out there for you to utilize including workout programs, nutrition plans, recipe ideas, PUMP UP music :), cute workout clothes, colorful shoes, cell phone apps & motivational quotes. Use these! And stop telling yourself that you're not good enough or you'll never get there.

Bottom line - motivate yourself... because if you don't, no one else will help. No matter how much someone yells at you or tells you that you can, it won't matter unless you do it yourself.

So buy a freakin phone case if you need to, but just go & do it.
