I love, love, love this. Why is it that our body is sometimes our last priority? We put school, work, activities, relationships, etc. over our own body. Don't get me wrong, all of these things are great, but life needs balance & two of those key ingredients are physical activity & good nutrition. 

I hear so many excuses from people as to why they don't eat healthy, or why they eat too much... why they can't fit a workout in 5 days/week... But you owe it to your body to take care of it. People think that losing an hour of sleep to go to the gym or go for a run will make them more tired for the day, but the truth is, your body will thank you for the release of those endorphins, the increase in metabolic rate & the blood flow you receive from an increase in heart rate. 

So please stop making those excuses... rewrite or print out the above quote & read it every day if you need to. But start taking care of & investing in your body! 

Green Smoothie Recipe:


  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 small banana
  • 1/2 cup Almond Milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • Water as needed 
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Raw peanut or almond butter (adds to flavor & texture)
