My Bulletproof or "Fat" Coffee Recipe

Happy Monday! I thought a coffee recipe would be the perfect start to a new week ;)

Most mornings I start off with a warm glass of water with lemon & then I have my "fat coffee" before my breakfast. I do NOT replace my breakfast with fat coffee, it's just my coffee drink in the morning. 

I have found it kickstarts my metabolism & gets everything going if you know what I mean ;) It's such a great way to get your fats in for the day if you tend to not eat a lot of good fats in your main meals. Here is my recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup coffee
  • 1 tbsp ghee (or grass fed unsalted butter - Kerrygold)
  • 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream (or you could do organic half & half)
  • 1 tbsp MCT oil (or coconut oil)
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins collagen
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  • make coffee, then add all ingredients to blender with half the coffee
  • blend until frothy & pour on top of the black coffee
