How Do I Structure My Virtual Assistant Business?
The beauty of having your own business is that it truly is up to you how you want to structure it! But here are some tips for you to get an idea of what this type of business looks like:
Laying the Foundation
What services can you provide? This is such an open-ended question - in the best way possible! I have a free worksheet that helps you decide what types of services you should offer HERE.
Getting the Client
Identify your Ideal Client and brainstorm ways that your skills can support them. I have a free worksheet that will help you - click right here!
Reach out to businesses who fit your ideal client profile. I teach you how to find them in my VA Bootcamp! You can watch my free training video on how to create your Virtual Assistant business from home here.
As a business owner, you choose how you want to onboard clients. Typically it includes a virtual video call (I like Zoom!) to discuss your services and what areas they need help in.
You send out a contract, proposal, and invoice to your new client.
Staying Organized
Setting up your business on a client management platform that allows automated systems is a great idea! I personally love Honeybook (you can use my code pva50 or follow this link for a free trial and 50% off your first year!). I also teach you about a variety of organizational & communication platforms in my VA Bootcamp!
Track your hours on a time tracker and invoice your clients bimonthly or once a month.
Getting to Work
As a Virtual Assistant, you can work whenever and wherever you want! Just be sure you are communicating deadlines and daily tasks with your clients.
