Resources EVERY Entrepreneur Needs when Starting their Business

How often do you find yourself racing through the day and going to bed completely tapped out and exhausted each night? I feel like it’s a running joke among entrepreneurs about how we quit our corporate jobs to have more time, only to end up working even MORE for ourselves. 🤪

Trust me, I’ve been there and I get it. And while I still have those crazy long days every now and then (I am a working mama, afterall!), I’m proud of myself for setting healthy boundaries and creating routines that actually support a more productive day! Want in on my secrets?

  1. Move your Body: Even on my busiest days, I always manage to carve out time for a workout. It doesn’t have to be long or complicated - just something to move my body. My favorite workouts are from my mama crush & full disclosure, long-time client: Kim Perry Co. They’re designed for pregnant and postpartum mamas, and can honestly fit any lifestyle. You can learn more about my fitness journey and grab any of Kim’s courses with my discount (https://kimperryco.mykajabi.com/helen)!

  2. Nourish your Body: Eating the leftovers from your toddlers lunch does not count as a meal. I know it’s hard to make time to sit down for a meal, let alone prepare one for yourself. I have been loving Daily Harvest for those crazy days when I have no time to cook, but know I need to eat something that will fuel my naptime hustle. Their plant-based ice cream is my newest obsession! 😍 Use my code (linked here) for $35 off your order!

  3. Invest in tools that will help you work smarter. Here are some of my favorites:

    • Kajabi: You’ve probably heard me talk about Kajabi - my favorite all-in-one platform. If you are a course creator (or looking to become one), Kajabi is a must! I also send all my email campaigns (like this one!) through Kajabi. You can try it for free here.

    • Honeybook: Creating a streamlined customer service experience is critical for onboarding new clients and maintaining the ones you have. Honeybook keeps me looking professional, even when things are crazy behind the scenes. My code gets you 50% off your first year!

    • Legal Contracts: While the legal side of your biz isn’t always the most fun, it’s so important to ensure that you’re protecting yourself and your business. A contract not only protects you from legal action, but also helps set up boundaries and expectations with clients so you’re not stuck with a last minute project on a Saturday (unless you want that) ! I get my contracts from the Legal Paige - she has a specific Virtual Assistant one! You can learn more about them here!

It’s my passion to help entrepreneurs (and aspiring entrepreneurs) achieve their dream of starting a successful business from home. Because it’s more than just starting a business, right? It’s being able to stay home with your littles. It’s having the money to travel and send your kids to camp without thinking twice. It’s the freedom of creating your own schedule.

THAT’S why I created VA Bootcamp, Online Course School, and my specialty mini courses - Social Media Manager and Email Marketing. My life has been forever changed by my business, and I want the same for you!
