What is a Ramp Up Period During a Launch?

I’ve got the secret to making your next launch a success. And it’s not what you’re selling (but obviously that helps!). It’s actually what you do during your ramp up period!

Hard truth - If you’re just focusing on launch day and the actual sales, you are setting yourself up to fail.

So let’s rewind and focus on those days and weeks leading up to your launch to make sure you’re not launching to crickets. Here are my hot tips for making the most of your ramp up period.

  1. Start Early! Days -60 to 0 are CRITICAL for your launch. Don’t wait to start talking about it until the week of your launch. You need to start preparing your audience WAY sooner than that so they are primed and ready to buy.

  2. Show some love to your email list. If it’s been awhile since you popped into their inbox, start serving up some quality content. Create a new freebie (bonus - this will bring you more subscribers too!), link to recent podcasts/blog posts/IGTVs, and remind them of the why behind your business. Then, when you are ready to launch, they are happy to see you in their inbox and are interested in what you have to offer.

  3. Get active on social! Instagram’s algorithm may piss you off sometimes (right there with you!), but it’s still one of the best ways to reach your audience. And it’s free. Plan consistent content (both posts and stories) throughout Days -60-0. Rotate through educational, inspirational, entertaining, connecting, and sales content to ensure you’re providing lots of value without being too sales-y.

If this all sounds like a lot of work, you’re not wrong. It is a lot of work. But once you’ve laid solid groundwork for your launch, you can use it as a template for all of your future launches!

Because I’ve been behind the scenes on a variety of launches (both my clients and my own), I finally decided to create the most epic “cheat sheet” that anyone can use as a guide for a successful launch. My Online Course School lays it ALL out there. And bonus - it even includes done-for-you email templates, social media caption prompts and content calendars! Basically, it’s all the things you have been Googling about starting and launching your program without all of the wasted time and dead end resources. I’ve even got a free guide to help you get started.

So what’s stopping you from taking that next step? Whatever you’re thinking, I’ve probably been there too. Shoot me a DM and let’s chat about it!
