3 Ways to Scale Your Virtual Assistant Business

So you’ve established your VA business and it’s growing every month. You have a solid client load and a decent income, and now you’re looking to make more money without investing more hours.

Sound familiar?

Wanting to scale your business is a natural progression as an entrepreneur. But you’re busy and don’t want to trade in more of your time for additional income. I’ve been there and I totally get that. So what’s the solution?

Here are three ways you can scale your Virtual Assistant business:

  1. Find your specialty: This is honestly the #1 thing that helped me scale my business. A specialty is a service you offer that grants you permission to charge higher rates WITHOUT tracking hours and getting paid by the hour. It’s something you do that involves strategy and experience. It’s something you’ve learned along the way and are an EXPERT in. For me, that was email marketing, but social media management is another popular niche as well as copywriting, Pinterest management, podcast editing, YouTube management, etc!

My personal specialty? Online Course Launch Strategy for business owners who are ready to create passive income!

2. Create a course: You might feel like this is out of your league, but let me change your mind. The trick is to teach what you already know. And it doesn’t even need to be about business! Are you passionate about fitness as a mom? An expert at training your dog? Notorious for your meal prepping skills? Teach THAT! Courses are an amazing way to create passive income for your business. If you’re interested but not sure where to start, be sure to check out my free guide on how to create an online course.

3. Hire an assistant: Having an extra set of hands in your business can free up your time to focus on bigger projects and learn new skills. You can start small with just a few hours a week and have them do more administrative level tasks like answering DMs, organizing your inbox, and creating basic graphics in Canva. A few hours a week doesn’t cost you much as a business owner in paying an assistant, but it greatly benefits you in what you gain back in time!

One of the things I love most about being a virtual assistant is how scaleable it is to fit your needs. Whether you’re looking for a side hustle or a six-figure income, it’s all possible!
