The Inside Scoop on Starting Your Virtual Assistant Business

What’s the Buzz about VAs?

Women drop into my DMs every week with very similar stories. They are stressed about money and have student loans that they are barely covering. They are working a 9-5 and are so over it. They are pregnant or recently had a baby, and are now wondering how they can stay home while still covering their bills.

If you’ve ever wondered how others are making money online and are able to work from anywhere with WiFi, you’ve come to the right place!

Demand for VAs

The Virtual Assistant industry is expected to grow by $4.12 billion between 2021-2025. That means HUGE growth potential for current VAs and those looking to get their foot in the door. The need for VAs is only growing as more businesses are shifting to a bigger online presence.

Typical Income for a VA

Income for a Virtual Assistant can be as little or as much as you’d like! It’s all about finding your niche, strategically structuring your pricing/packages, and believing in your own success. I started out as an admin VA, working at an hourly rate on a monthly retainer. After building up my skills and experience, I chose a specialty and took on more project-based (higher ticket!) clients. And passive income (particularly with my online courses) is what rounded out my income and took me to six-figures. Flexible Schedules

One of my favorite parts about being a Virtual Assistant is the ability to create your own dream schedule. For our family that’s meant everything from me only working during naptime (#naptimehustle) to now having set childcare days that I can dedicate to my clients as well as my own biz. When you sign with a new client, you are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you! Be honest with yourself about the time you have to give and ensure you’re not getting in over your head with a client who needs something more. What’s the Catch?

If all this sounds too good to be true - let me assure you that it’s not! There is no catch. These women are all proof that starting a business from home and building it to whatever you want it to be is very possible.
